| Senior Forumer ![]() | Want to learn how to make those simple yet amazing anime signatures? Well, this is the tutorial for you then. It's also one of my simple ones. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make an anime signature thats easy to create yet look like it was professionally done. (I purposely omitted the images that accompanied this tutorial to avoid "Ripping") 1. First open a new file with a transparent background with your own file size. I use 400x125. Your size may be different. 2. Make sure that your colors are reset (press D) first and go to Filter > Render > Clouds. On the same layer, with your foreground color being black, using a few brushes, stroke the image a little (Don't overdo the brushing, or its going to look ugly being a bit too black). Set this layer to Overlay as it will be needed later. 3. Create a new layer and hit the key X, this will switch the color white to your foreground color. Try to brush it so that the white balances out the black. Set this layer to Overlay. 4. Place your transparent image where you want it and duplicate it twice (CTRL+J). On the duplicated layer copy, go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. Set the Angle 0 and Distance 40. Now on the second duplicated layer copy 2 (This should be on top the other layers) go to blending options and check Outer glow. 5. Going back to your original image, left click your original layer (The one containing the original image, it should be untouched). Go to Filter > Stylize > Wind. Set the Method to Blast and the Direction is up to you depending on where your image is placed. I used From the Right for mines. 6. Now, select the Single Column Marquee Tool and click on somewhere where your image has the most colors. Hit Edit > Copy or CTRL+V. Make a new layer and paste the column that you've just copied. Go to Edit > Transform > Scale. Drag the rectangle scale so that it covers the entire canvas. It will then ask for you to apply, hit apply. Drag this layer all the way down to the bottom of the Layers box. Now you will see why you had to set the layer you made in step 2 to Overlay. If you want, you can mess around with the opacity a little. 7. And lastly, add some text with some strokes and outer glow. You can also add a border if you want. Good job! If you want to post your result here, help yourself. I'd like to see what you did? Check ya later!! Last edited by oopzz; 06-15-2007 at 08:58 PM.. |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | Can you post a result of what we would get? And if you don't want your images ripped, then you watermark them. |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | Here's my result! Where are the other graphic guru's? Anyone else want to try without paying someone else fbucks to do for them? ![]() ![]() Oh yeah... as added information, I just created this image using Fractal & Metallica Brushes I got from DeviantArt. I pulled my anime render out of the anime render folder at clantemplates. This tutorial was created by me as a result of experimenting with layers. so, there ya go dudes and dudettes. | Member | As for me I'm a fan of video & I always create my signature from video files with tool called Video Avatar (http://www.geovid.com/) |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | That's cool too! But heck, running those videos takes up so much bandwith and can wipe out a lot of space too. So hey, want to show us some of your work then? How about a peek at it? |

| Member | Hmmmm, nice thread here. Most people would keep information like this to themselves. Really nice of you to share your tutorials and I know it took you a while to do them. I have photoshop but I dont know how to use it. I will see if I can do this and I will post what I did, even if its lousy! |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | Oh, okay! That's cool for sure. What I can do is embed those inside of a signature. At first, it was hard but you can actually extract frames from a movie. How many of those do you have already done? |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | vthao, just follow a step by step instruction to embed a movie in your signature is all you have to do. Or, even add text to an animation just like above. |
