I am looking to buy a hit counter with the following-
-Must be able to incorperate it in to an HTML page.
- w3 HTML 4.1 compliant,
-when the code is called, it adds the following to the end of a text file:
user's IP, a string specified when calling the code, and the time of day/date.
In another text file, it keeps track of the total visits to date.
Your code must not contain anything that displays ads, though if you want me to, I'll link to my site from yours.
Other features such as indication of whether the user came from a search engine, or a numeric display are not necessary, but I will pay you extra for them.
We will both agree on a fair price for the counter.

www.statcounter.com doesn't display ads and you can make your counter invisible or display an actual counter (different styles to chose from), click on my sig to see how it looks like. (at bottom left forum)

wouldn't that be better than storing sruff into in a textfile?

Ok, thanks for that. I tried googling for a good free one, but it's rediculous, becaue you get this junk that wants you to put ads.

I know the offer is closed so you don't have to give me fbuck$ but you could also give http://www.w3counter.com/ a try. You can also choose between several visible and a non-visible counter, and you can get referrers report, screen resolutions report, browser report and operating system report to tailor your site to your visitors.
You can also get the details from each visitor and all info is put into nice graphs so it's easy to see for instance which day of the week you have most visitors.
