Smile [RESOLVED] expanding the width.

hi, i was wondering if it's possible to make the page bigger on my forum. the problem is that when i post up a big picture, the forum cuts it off and doesn't show the whole poster. it'll be a problem since i post up bigger photos all the time. can this be fixed or do i have to change the style? i really like the current style i have right now.

here's a screen shot of what i want to make bigger in case my explanation doesn't make any sense. ^_^

I don't know, you just have to try and see... or maybe you can consider resizing them when uploading (there is that option to resize to "message board" size (640 x 480px), or posting click-able thumbs (smaller images which when you click will open to display the full size) like this

well you actually have to post it that way... it has nothing to do with the ACP... some forum hosts will give you a ready link for a thumb, tinypic doesn't though, so I made it up myself

you know when you upload the image you get all the links and a tiny image on the side, if you right-click that(if you use firefox), you can copy image location... that will be the image you need to add in the img tags... then the larger image you need to add to the url tags, so the whole code looks like this:

Quote:
[url=http://the direct link to the large image][img]http://direct link to the small image[/img][/url]
the snake code looks like this:

Quote:
[URL=http://i31.tinypic.com/2zzlz50.jpg][IMG]http://i31.tinypic.com/2zzlz50_th.gif[/IMG][/URL]

or you could just upload the images to your fourm as attachments... set them up to display as thumbs.
ACP -> Posting -> Attachments settings -> in the Image category settings section answer the Create thumbnail: Yes , set the sizes and click on Submit
The max size of an attachment is 2MB so you can not upload anything larger than that, whatever you set in your ACP.
