Angry Effing spammers are being ISP reported

I have had a lot of spammers over at my forum disrupting me setting it up, and even with three other admins it is a pain in the ass.

I wanted to ask Forumer a question, can I ISP report them, I let a warning on the forum saying that and wanted to clear it. This is out of hand. It is making my forum look crappy.

How do you authorize new user? Via email activation?

With best regards,

look up their IP on nwtools.com, and fnd their ISP, go to the ISP's homepage, and report the IP.

I have phpbb3 so I already have their IP from my forum with the abuse email sending thing. If it happens one more time with ANY spam they are getting reported.

And no I dont use email activation. And guest posting stays on. I think with a report to the ISP if it happens again, he seems to have all of a sudden stopped. So I guess this wont be an issue.

Not necessary.

Well then you should not complain about the spamers here and certainly not by using language you just did in the first post!!!

Im not, I was just wondering if it was "okay" to report to the ISP.

I was not complaining about the spammers because they will be taken care of. And language??!! So what?

Do NOT dispute moderator actions publicly, take it on the head.

If you have a matter, then PM is the place to do it.

As for your original question you can do what you want when it comes to reporting to an ISP as long as you make it clear that this is a report from you and not from Forumer

hahahha that's awesome. maybe we can get some swat teams to take their computer, while we're at it.

Maybe there's a gene we can screen them?

lol. ISP ban is awesome, though, I must say! \m/
