| Member | Ok, I'm not sure where this goes, but I hope this is right. Hi, I need help. I'm sorry, I'm a bit frazzled at the moment. One of the ads on my site is causing peoples anti-viruse systems to go off. I went on as a member (not admin) and started searching the site to see what they were having trouble with, and sure enough my Avast! anti-viruse went off. I looked at the top to see which add was showing, but the ad was blank. The page kept trying to do something then changed to an ad site with out my clicking anything. I was going to read the site so I could give you more info, but Avast closed my web page saying that there was a Trojan. I had no other windows open at all because I was trying to see if it really was my site or not. I've looked through Avast to try and find the report history, but I'm not as good with it, so I haven't found it yet. (I'll keep looking.) I have no idea what to do, and it's freaking out some of my members. The problem was not showing up before ads were on the site. It was there before I added a shoutbox, before I added I music player, and before I started working on a Halloween theme. (I read another post where someone mentioned it might be a format conflict or something, but this started before any of that.) I haven't made any other changes between then that could have caused this. I'm floored. Any ideas? =( Thanks for any help. http://trentonbeat.50.forumer.com/index.php |

| Elite Forumer ![]() ![]() | Unless we know which ad is causing this, there is not much we can do... You can ask for your ads to be switched for the less intrusive "Ads by Google" in this thread You can also pay for ad removal through AdminCP .......first you have to purchase fBucks in the fSettings section and then you can remove the ads in the fBuck$ & Ads section. One page view equals one fbucks taken off your ad removal balance. So basically you get 30 000 ad free page views for $5USD |

| Member | Ok, I'll ask. My Avast log called it "Win32:Rbot-GJM [Trj]" if that helps. One member's anti-viruse log said "Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}"; "Win32:Adware-gen [Adw]"; "Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}"; "Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}" and said that one of the ads was of a game, but doesn't remember which game it was for. So far, all the members complaining have said that they were more interested in closing their computer off and scanning it, than getting the url or ad title. Sorry, I guess I'll have to go on as a member again to get those. (Hopefully it won't come up, though, seeing as that's a bad thing.) Also, how do I post files/screenies? Thanks. | Member ![]() | Have had a few of our members telling me of a virus found on their computer that came from http://porker.50.forumer.com/ as well. I know it has infected 2 of my computers. |

| Member | Ok well one of my admins sent me this. I don't know if it helps. Her page didn't change so there was no url. She said that the page kept acting like it was trying to refresh or load pages and then her anti-viruse went off. She closed the page and did a viruse scan. Also, someone else said that the ad they saw was for make-up (no screenies, sadly). This was 2 nights ago. I just figured out how to post the file sooo yea =( sorry for the delay. |

| Member | That ad is showing up on our forum as well - it's causing a lot of problems. I've requested the ads by google be returned, but I guess we'll just have to take our licks until then. |
