| Elite Forumer ![]() ![]() | We have not added a Rank image directory yet, not sure if there will be one, BUT We have added a way to link in rank images hosted on an image host, so now you can add rank images to your forums ![]() Just click on Edit rank ACP -> Users and groups -> Manage ranks -> Click on Edit |

| Member | I'm still having a bit of a problem with the "Link remote image" feature. The images still aren't appearing. Has anyone else experienced this? Apparently, it's appending "http://nameofforum.50.forumer.com/images/ranks/" before the real image URL. Last edited by Sazabi02; 08-28-2009 at 06:32 AM.. |

| Elite Forumer ![]() ![]() | what is the real image url you posted there? can you link me to an actual thread where I can see it? also, a test admin account would be useful so I can try it out myself and report it. (click on my user name and email link to send it |

| Member | I've try out using a rank image that's direct link from my photobucket and use it as the admin's rank image! It works for sure! the image can be seen in the forum too, but then just wonder... If you see the member list now, you can see that our rank name have been taken over by the rank image, only the image is display as our RANK in the member list, not the rank title anymore... Is this consider working normally?? |

1. Rank image problem is only with non special ranks. Special rank images (like those of admin, mod or any other special rank) are loading fine but non special rank images are not loading. Only their name is being displayed. 2. All the rank images are visible in the "manage ranks" option in ACP. The problem only occurs when viewed in the forum. The problem here seems to be the addition of the above mentioned non existent directory address before the actual images for non special ranks. One more thing, as said by Wild Cat above, the rank images should take over the rank title, seems reasonable and is desirable, but this is not happening in my forum. The rank image for "Admin" is loading fine, but rank title is also visible along with the rank image. What should I do now? Thanks. Last edited by balanand; 09-04-2009 at 05:18 PM.. Bot the title and the image does appear in the posts, but the image takes over the title on the members list. That is normal. Quote:
Let me know if it helped. If not, then I will need a "Test" account with admin access so I can have a look.(click on my user name and email link to send it) | ||

| Member | Don't have the "purge cache" option either (though i have others). Could this be because i'm not the root admin? (I asked the root admin to look at it, but normally i have every authorization, as root admin wants me to run the forum since he can't be there as much as he'd like). If purging cache requires root admin, well, i'll wait for him to log. But else, there must be something i'm doing wrong ^^. (I'll make you a test account if root admin can't purge cache either, no need to bother you too much if it's just a permission problem). |

| Elite Forumer ![]() ![]() | well ask the root admim what permissions he gave you..... if he followed these steps to make you admin, you should also be able to purge the cache... ACP -> Permissions -> Global permissions -> click on Users' permission -> Write "username" in the Look up user section then click on Submit -> from the Select type: drop down menu chose Admin permissions and click on Go then from the Role drop down menu chose Full admin and click on Apply all permissions. click image to see full size ![]() Last edited by Wild Cat; 10-10-2009 at 12:13 AM.. |
