This is really getting to be frustrating. The forums are up and down all the time, and I've noticed that *.forumer.com has been as well (including the main www.forumer.com site). In addition to that, right now there are a ton of pages and threads on the Paint.NET forum that are still spitting out all sorts of "SQL errors", such as this one: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewt...p?f=12&t=23295 , "Table 'phpbb3_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [1194]".

What's going on? The forums used to be so reliable! The reliability has become so bad that we are seriously thinking of moving the forum elsewhere, even though we'd have to reset our 7,680 users and 137,050 posts.

BTW, I hope that this will not happened again in the future. As Limez said, datacenter replaced two hard-disks on the server with fhq and paintdotnet due to hardware errors.
After that Limez had written them a letter to ask for better service in the future.

I'm david.atwell, a moderator on the Paint.NET forum. I can't report this on our Moderator board on our forum (paintdotnet.forumer.com) for Rick Brewster to post this because the forum will not accept any new posts. I'd e-mail him directly, but with the volume of e-mails he gets it would take him a long time to respond. Anyway, our board will accept new topics, but not new posts; as such, our new Pictorium has about four of the same thread that are undeletable by virtue of having no post in them.

Any suggestions?

Are the settings set to not allowed new posts?

17% of Forumers put stupid made up statistics in their sigs. If you are one of the 83% that don't, put this in your sig.

Seriously, the forum feels like it's crumbling and falling apart. It gets worse every week, even when the aforementioned data center issues are dealt with.

It appears to have been fixed at this point. But paintdotnet.forumer.com itself disintegrated into an SQL error (the main page, mind you) - and I couldn't even post a notice about it here because fhq.forumer.com became a database error.

Because your forum is hosted on the same server as fhq, forumer and fmods, all of them had database errors as well because of the mysql server.

Well ... I am Freelikeanbird but i am also Bugster from paint.net forums , i'm sorry to say but the forum is weird ... everyday we got an other error .. Thats not good! i hope this gets fixed finally , Thank you
