ok I downloaded a brand new skin from the phpBB site. I dont know how to add it though. How do I do this?

I don't think you can. I also think Limez is going to get more skins when the beta version of PHPBB goes stable and we upgrade.

ugh~ as in many other posts.....we donno what is our board directories root....for current.....we can only edit the skin base on subSilver skin/theme.... go to Style Admin > Create .....then create ur own style base on subSilver skin/theme. Guess we may use our dl skins/themes in the future.....

Added: for normal phpbb board that created by upload the files ourself using ftp.....u may upload ur skin u dl to the ur_forum_directory(ex. phpbb)/templates/

Yes, soon we're going to have different good skins you can choose from.

It would be great if you give us some DEMO of the New Skins.
So, we'll make a Poll to vote for the best skins, then you can add it to our Server.

this may sound silly but the upgrade from beta shouldnt affect our forums should it? would we have to re-register and start again? probably not.

does CrazyGirl's edit mean things are fully customizable already (banner etc) if we upload stuff ourself? i'm not to clever with all this mumbo-jumbo.

also, if things are going to be like the old forums with a selection of skins... then i think i'd speak for a lot of people by suggesting a really basic, simple layout & look that can be built on easily...

i liked some of the other themes but things like the 'add reply' buttons were really specific to a certain colour scheme and wouldnt look too great once the colour scheme was changed. i know these could be created and linked to but even that is quite demanding for very untechical people - i think a set of universal, plain, colourless(?) buttons would be a big help.

Nah the upgrade won't affect you atall.

I doubt that forumer would cause the update to make you reregister in fact im positive it wouldnt it would just update your forum!

That question has already been answered. When forumer upgrades, your forums will be upgraded with it. You will not lose your forums.

The thing I don't like is that we can't added the templates ourselves we have to wait for templates to be added and even then we may not even like them once there added this makes for a very hard change.
