Default Permissions - Advanced Mode - PROBLEM.

Hi guys.

I am trying to alter the permissions of a certain member of my forum.

Under USER PERMISSION CONTROL > PERMISSIONS > ADVANCED MODE.

There is no longer any tabs for selecting the VIEW , EDIT , REPLY etc etc...

The only option available is the option to make that user a Moderator ???!!!

Has this always been the case? we have a For Sale Forum on my site and would like to restrict a troublesome member from viewing this area ONLY.

Can you help.

Forum is found here: http://burnerworld.8.forumer.com/

I would have to see a screenshot or be able to look at it for myself.
And I would need the same info from you. First and foremost I would need the url of your forum.

It's OK you can't PM until you have 10 posts. I understand what you are talking about now.
You cannot edit each specific users permissions in phpBB2.
My recommendation is to create a group and edit the permissions so that this forum is "private" and usable by this group.
place your members in this group and leave the trouble makers out of the group. Or you can make this group
"viewable/readable" by all and set the rest of the permissions to "private"
So that all the other members can post in it.
That should do it.

I'm attempting to do kind of the same thing. I'm attempting to make a group of users, and a forum so that they will only be able to view it; outside from everyone else.

Does this need to be done with phbb3 or is 2 able to do this?
