on the left side of the index-page of my forum there is a box containing
"sample Link1" and "sample link 2".

I nowhere found any explanation for what that is and what I can do with it.

Does anybody here have a clue ?

I suggest you don't use that style because you can't change those links.

I'm using this style since a year and a half.
Why should I not use it anymore ?

I only wanted to know what's about those "Sample Links !....

well the reason she told you not to use that style was that you can not use (change) those links....

Oh well if they don't bother you then go ahead and use it, I didn't realize you'd been using the style so long.

The Sample Links are just links that you can't change. Nothing special about them.

That style is setup to look like a portal. The sample links are examples of links you could change to whatever you want if you had access to the template files, since you don't have access to those files you can't change them like Imoen said.

But you can always use the fPortal with the subSilver skin if you really want it to look like a portal.
