hey there,

I started a forum and promoted a member to an admin status. he has somehow stopped me from being able to see the admin panel... but when i check my profile it still says site admin under my name.

i used my e-mail to sign up for the account. is there a way to regain control of my forums?

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no way to regain access to your forums. FAP would have solved the problem, but that hasn't been working for a while, and it is still being worked on.

You need to be super careful when hiring admins because this kinda thing always happens. I dont know why people do that because its the Guilt I could never live with.

Instead of making a member a admin. cant you just make them admins. that have some permissions like a mod. ??
I would suggest you ask the member/admin. toput you back on the CP and de-admin him.

I highly doubt he will do that if he already got rid of the other admin...

Isnt there like an email thing,like if your the original admin. that started the site,then I think there should be a way through...

nope...in IPB you can have root admins and admins which does sort of what we are talkin about but not for phpbb

In phpBB3, you have the founders group, with which, the admin canot be removed/deleted.
