ok, well i want 3 members of my site to me gmods (global moderator) so they can have ful acess of the forum, but cant touch the administration pannel. how can i do this? thanks in advance

well, i knoe how to make a moderator, but how do you make a GLOBAL MODERATOR, a moderator of the whole forum, basicly jus an admin, that can acses the admin pannel , lol

I am not an expert, but I have never heard of a global moderator. How does it differ from the regular mods?

A global moderator is just a moderator who moderates all section of the forum.

Well my mods moderate all of the forum, just go to Admin>User Admin>User List then find your mod's ID, click on open>permissions and you will see a list of all of the pages and what rank they have to all of the board. Just switch all of them to 'Moderator'

That wasn't a one post solution or close to one. Fred basically summed it up. Forumer's phpbb forums does not have the extended ranks feature to give you the global mod effect. So basically a global mod is a member who has mod status but can moderate a very large portion or the entire forum just like a regular moderator. The only difference is they have carry a different special rank color. Your forum's specials ranks with color only include Admin and moderator.

Again, the extended ranks or supermod mod would give you the complete effect of a global mod. However as mentioned in the post above, just grant that member moderator access to all the forums and there you go.
