Suddenly there is horrible banner advertising instead of the Google ads, which were acceptable. Please can we have the much less annoying Google ads back.

It is a mixture of the two, banner and text ads, you cannot change that sorry

Until this week it was 90% text and 10% banner. Now it is 100% banner which I find very annoying.

Thanks for your quick replies. Our niche hasn't changed at all. I would say we were one of the more (mostly) serious type of forums. The banner stuff just doesn't match at all. How can we change our 'niche' ?

Well thats for text ads really, it displays the same ads as your forum.

You will see these characters //--> just before the banner. It looks like a syntax error in a script. Maybe it's the cause of the problem ?

I just found out by looking at your source code that your forum is not showing google ad but some other provider

The forumer admin, you can't do anything about it unfortunately.

Is this a new policy? I have gone ad free so I wouldn't know or notice if the banners are common now. I see your point though, I wouldn't like it. Maybe its a hamfisted way of making you sign up to ad removal. On that subject , it's not that expensive, $5 for 30,000 page views, how ever long that lasts.

Just get ad removal, like fred said. Its inexpensive and effective.

In case you don't know, go to your admin panel, then fbucks and follow the steps, you will need a credit card.

30000 views only last about a month. I would still appreciate an answer to my question. Have Google ads been abandoned on Server 8 ? Or is this a mistake ?
