Hi there,

Ok, so I've found the fshops area and I am seriously considering opening a shop. I understand that cafepress earn the base rate that is displayed and we get whatever dollars we add on top of that. But it seems to want me to buy stuff first which I didn't think was the point? Am I right in thinking this is all free to set up - we just need to design the shop and its good to go? Our members then click onthe item they want and the order based on our design is sent to them and any extra cash made from any additional price we add is sent to us via cheque? Can I just check on this because its a bit confusing - why does it want me to buy the items when i have designed them?

You have to design the items, buy those items, then sell them on your site. So basically you gotta spend money to earn money.
I'm pretty sure =)

I haven't got an fshop but I do have two CafePress shops, and have never been asked to buy anything from the shop when it's set up, which is free to st up ny the way. I don't know if the forumer involvment makes any difference.

Kurisy what if you don't add anything to the base price, does forumer still get a commission?
