Default Why is the time on my portal wrong?
My time is correct on my forum itself but the portal time is about 5 hours behind when you look at who was last seen! How can I correct this?

Hi Raq,
first let me say that I know sweet FA about all these things as I've only just set up my own forum.However my forums clock is 40 mins out while the time on this one is always correct so I spent a couple of hours searching for time problems on this board and basically this is what i've found out. First and I know its maybe stating the obvious but make sure your set to the right time zone, if you are exactly 5 hours out just set it to GMT + or - 5.
The other thing I've read is that any time problems are probably down to a fault or compatability issue with your service provider as the way the time is calculated is extremly complex but accurate. In my case this would seem to be born out by the time stamp on this forum being right and the one on my forum being wrong when presumably they are both the same system.
Dont know if this is any use to you but I posted a question and didnt get any replies so at least you've done better than me.

u have to set the time to the location of your place.

yes I know - the time, as I said, is already correct on the forum itself, it is just thr portal its incorrect...........
