I know there is a thread out there explaining that. But everytime I go in that thread, millions of windows pop up and my computer messes up a bit. I want it so that I can post youtube vidoes and also links to music so it shows up like it is embedded in a media tag.
(I.E.: [Media]<insert_media_link_here>[/Media])

Okay, i tried it, but for some reason, the youtube footage box only shows when i go to preview my thread when I go to edit it. But when I post it, it just shows the embed in text. Why is this even though I did it right?

Are you using the correct embedded code?

If so copy and paste it into your forum category description and submit, it should show up on the front page.

I was told once never to enable the HTML because it can cause problems on the forum. Is this true?

I don't need a forum category. What I am trying to do is post a youtube video into a simple post/reply. Here is the type of code i'm using:

I even enabled the following:

b,i,u,pre,img,CENTER,TD,TR,TABLE,P,FONT,BR,a,span,h2,iframe,object,param,embed

I did everything that lordviking mentioned in that faq that he made about posting youtube vids and enabled everything he told me to enable. I can't be doing something wrong... can I?

Edit: oh, so I assume that they can only be posted on the main front page of the forum right? Yet, when I go to "preview post", my youtube vid shows up in a regular standard post, but not when I get out of "preview post" mode.
