Hi. i have seen this done before and i would like to know how. How would you make it so like a main page comes up and then on that mane page there is a link to the forum? i have seen many forums doing this.

Also for some reason i keep getting a whole bunch of spammers on my board. the only mods i have are me and a friend and the friend never gets on. Almost every time i get on my forum there are maybe atleast five new spammers. I am getting very annoyed with them. Is there any privacy thing i can set or something?

Do you mean a portal? Please show us a picture of what other forums have been doing.

For your other question, yes I believe you can set up a privacy setting for your forum.

First way...

1. Administration Panel.
2. General Administration - Configuration
3. Find Enable account activation - Choose Admin.

Now whenever someone registers, I believe you get a notice saying that their account needs to be activated and verified by yourself, or any other administrator on your board.

The other way you can do it is...

1. Forum Admin - Permissions
2. Do it to any (or all) boards which you wish to hide from public viewers, or something else.
3. Then you may choose what you are going to want to do with the settings, if you want to make it so that a moderator of that forum can only see it, then choose that. You should know.

well this is what i mean when i say startup screen:

and then when the user clicks the ENTER link it will bring the user to the forum.
