| Member | Good evening/Morning/afternoon where ever you may be. My husband and I are both Admins on the forum I created. Currently we have been experiencing problems logging in to both the forum and especially the Administration Panel. When able to log into the forum, and stay logged in, if we attempt to log into the Admin Panel, it asks for our passwords again. Sometimes it shows that it is going into the Panel and then we just end up on the Forum page again and sometimes we are asked for our passwords again. We have not had any problems previously. We have removed cookies etc. and also tried various browsers. No users seem to have problems remaining logged in. Thank you in advance for your help and thank you for creating such a great site. | Junior Forumer ![]() | If your problem is that you dont want to put in your password when you go to admin panel, then you cant change it. The service ask for your password AGAIN, to check you are the actual admin, and not a hacker. |

| Active Forumer ![]() | I don't think that's their problem, bellmaster4, since it appears they've logged into their Admin Panel quite frequently by the look of their forum. Have you tried signing it at a different computer, such as a local library or some such? Since you cleared your cookies and tried different browsers, I don't know what the problem may be, but since everyone else has no problem, it sounds like a localized issue with your PCs... I'm no expert though. I honestly have no idea. |

Bellmaster Thank you for your reply. It is not that I don't want to put my password in when I go into admin panel, I am happy with this feature as it is there to protect me. How many times should it ask for my password though? There were times last night where we just could not access admin panel. We did re-boot our modem/router plus the pc's, and even then it did not make a difference. It was not until after midnight here that were able to get into Admin Panel and even our forum properly. I have been able to log into the forum properly this morning. It seems that I can log into the admin panel properly aswell. I am unsure of why this happened? I will see what happens toward the end of the day here, at the moment it is only 10.21am and the problems did not occur until after 8pm. I will report back then if everything seems to be stable again. Thanks again for your prompt response. Have a fantastic day.

Thank you for your reply aswell The forum is very much up and running as I am sure you can see. No we have not tried signing into our forum from any other computer at all. If we do work out what the issue ever was then I will post what it was as it may be something we can all learn from. I have another question, and I cannot seem to find an answer for it. I have noticed there are a few questions (basic) that people are asking that I could answer, am I allowed to answer these questions? Or do you need to be a moderator to do so? I guess I am just hoping I might be able to be of some help. Sorry if there is a link set up on this and I am not typing in the right words for a search, if so point me in the right direction. Thanks again for your help.

| Active Forumer ![]() | This is a community forum for anyone who can help to help others. I'm no moderator, and the I would probably say that the majority of the people who answer quesitons here are not moderators. If you feel you can help someone, I would say feel free to try and help them. It would make the mods a lot happier I'm sure to take some of the burden off of them. |

| Member | Richmaster, Thank you for trying to help me but I am confused with your answer (sorry, maybe my husband will understand it when he is home). what will ctrl+f5 do? is that like a refresh or something? Are you saying that I should download a new browser, we have been trying 3 different ones, IE, FF, and Opera. I believe they are all the latest versions aswell. Hubby does the updates etc. on all our computers. thanx again |
