Question New users unable to register

Hi, I've tried to find similar problems, but unfortunately there were none. OK, here's the problem:

My forums did work fine for about a year, but now new users can't register - I've tried myself several times. As far as I can track down the problem there are missing fields in the register form such as "confirm password".

Do you have any ideas what's going on and may be how to fix that problem? Thanks in advance

First of all, is this problem occuring on your Forumer hosted board? If so, that board is running on IPB software, not phpbb.

Secondly, I have registered on your board without any problems. So, again, if the problem is taking place on the board listed under your avatar, there are no problems.

If you're talking about a second board, please post the link so I can register for myself to see if there are any problems.

Please remove my account on your IPB forum.

Good luck!

Actually that's my second board you've registered on. My primary board's address is entusiasti.7.forumer.com (how stupid of mine to write prefix 8 but never mind). Oh, I almost forgot: I work with phpBB for about 4 years and for that period I've never met that bug (also these boards were/are on paid hosts so this is my first board on the forumer host). I've registered my secondary board because of the fact I need new users to be able to register.

So long and take care

Hello, this is exactly why you must provide a link to your forums when requesting support. It prevents confusion for the users trying to provide assistance to you.

So, http://entusiasti.7.forumer.com is your forum link that is having trouble registering, correct?

Here's a few things that may help:

1) Clear cookies and cache
2) Check your spam filters (as confirmation links can be sent there) if you are on free e-mail services such as Google Mail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc . . .

You must fill in the required fields.
The passwords you entered did not match.

That error shows up what have you done to your board in the past few days anything big try to undo that change and see if it works

Great! OK, is there any possibility to you to redirect the DB of the phpBB board to my new IPB board? If there isn't it won't be big deal, I'll just put a hyper link to the old board into a threat on the new one...

Thanks in advance

edit:@sstangle: actually it wasn't me who spotted the problem, but some users who wanted to register on the board and contacted with me via IM clients. I rarely do anything on the ACP, so probably the bug ain't my bad.

if you havent changed anything around when the problem started then must be some bug

You would have to put a redirect link or something of that matter on your board im almost positive that they will not foward to another board at this time.!
Good Luck!
