I have seen this exact same problem on a couple of Forumer forums now.
What seems to be a workaround is disabling the canfirmation code altogether from your ACP.
Not the most elegant solution, but at least people will be able to sign-up to your forum. *shrug*

yeah i have that problem too. i only figured it out because i tried to test out the registration procedure to see what i could do to filter out as much spam as possible. i had it set to where admin had to activate the account but i kept getting dozens of mail on a daily basis. i disabled the confirmation code and switched the "admin confirmation" to "user confirmation"(email is sent to the member, and they must click a link in the email). hopefully that works for me.

i figured, since the confirmation code was not working to keep out spam, disabling it shouldnt hurt.

This is what you can do to fix it. Go to your directory and go to you template folder at templates/yourtemplate. Open profile_add_body.tpl replace it with this http://larryhadalittleham.zoomshare....e_add_body.tpl
Then, reupload it to its original location and replace the one there. THis is for phpBB though. If you have something else I don't know if it'll work.
