I have a logo with a transparent background so it should show whatever my current theme is but somehow it still appears with a white background.

why is that?

Is a Jpeg, meaning it can't be transparent. Upload your transparent gif instead, maybe you've just uploaded the wrong one.

For transparency, use .PNG (which is smaller than .JPEG anyway!)

hi

youre right, its jpeg but i dunno why it shows as transparent in my fireworks and when i loaded it to another site, it does show as transparent.

Fireworks shws it as transparrent because that's how you made it.
JPEGs don't store the alpha (transparency) so you get a white background.

Just edit it, make sure the BG is transparent and save as a PNG...
