I Can Explain This In A Couple Easy Steps.

Okay Lets Get Started...

1.Go To Your Admin Panel.
2.Go To General Configuration.
3.Go Down To Allowed Html Tags.
4.Enter url At The End Of The Other Comma.
5.Thats It!

to type a url you put [.url=http://domainhere.com]BlahBlahBlah[./url]

But as long as you type http:// you dont have to add the tags.,

In the tags there are no periods.

Um... URLs can simply be entered using the [url] tags or just pasting them directly into the post to appear as a normal hyperlink. There is no need for the Admin CP here.

you have to allow all html tags before using them. allow all tags in admin cp if you prefer html than bbcodes. esp if you use stuff for tables and forms list etc. but for url and images bbcodes is fine.
