Default Hiding Category and Making Readable by all
I would like to hide a few forums/categories to everyone (except for the Admin), but make them readable to everyone at the same time. But the permissions are screwed up.

Here is what the permissions for my "Call of Duty" forum/category looks like:



and here is the link to my "Call of Duty" forum/category:

http://zuforums.com/viewforum.php?f=22

Why isn't it working?!?! I have my "Read" permission set to "ALL" so everyone should be able to "Read" my damn forum/category!

You have a phpBB forum. This is the IPB support section. You should ask all of your support questions here:

View - they can see the outside of the forum in the forum list on main board view only. They can't read the topics or enter the forum.

Read - They can go into the forum and read the topics.

You cannot have it set read=yes and view=no for the admin as it makes no sense.

If you want to see the outside of the forum but not be able to read the topics - set the group to "view"

If you want to see the forum on board view and be able to read what is inside set the group to "read".
