If I have a member,.. say by the name Mike5 and want to change it to just Mike. Can I do this in admin cp without him losing his possibility to log in ? And does he log in with Mike5 and his old password or does he wright Mike ?

ok you can change it in the admin cp, and yes he uses the Mike username to log in

Yep, to change the name from the Administration Panel, go to User Admin > Management, (type in name) Look Up User, and then you will see the first field, 'Username', change the name in that and scroll down and hit submit.
Once the name is changed, he no longer logs in with the old username (eg. Mike5), but the new username (eg. Mike).
