| Senior Forumer ![]() | Your forum can already be accessed through http://stbrigid.x.am (at least that's the case when the server isn't down) |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | As server 11 is being upgraded right now, some of its bugs are still yet to be fixed. The best thing to do is wait a few more days, and see if there are any more bugs. If so, report them in phpBB bug reports. If the bugs can't be resolved within a few days, or if you really can't afford those bugs in your forum, then I say start your forum from scratch on a more reliable server [if registrations are being taken on such servers (server 12 for example)]. Another option is getting an IPB forum, their servers are fine at the moment. |

| Junior Forumer ![]() | ...But if Limez and the other Forumer technicians are working on fixing the immediate shutdown, and also upon a permanent solution, via upgrade, then it would presumably be strong as hell, maybe even the strongest server, soon enough! Starting from scratch (for my group anyways) would mean one ton of lost data, customizing a whole new forum, and every link posted externally to our site would be void! If it were possible to transfer the data contents from forum to forum, or site to site, then it may be feasible, but from what I gather - this is presently impossible... Unless Limez or Majicman or whoever else tells us, I'd just stay put and be patient, it should be okay soon... Take Care ![]() |
![]() http://megaweb.x.am I edited my username by starting a new account as 'VinWhalen', & this one is now out of service... | |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | from my knowledge of forumer.com...you can't switch from phpBB to IPB. phpBB is good for starters. IPB is more complicated than phpBB. |
