Exclamation Group Permissions

When I go to edit What my user groups can do, and I go into the advanced mode. How come I can only edit "Moderator/Not Moderator?"

How do I make it that so when people register I can change what come of the registration questions are AND how that sorts them automatically into User-Groups?

1) I don't think this is available with IPB
2) They all start out in the "Members". If you want a different name. Change it to the name you want.

For example, if you want them to start in a group called "newb". Change the Members name to "newb" then make a new group called "Members" if you want. But it would still direct to "newb" when they register.

Hmm no I've been on forums (Which are run through phpBB like mine) and the registration has custom questions which automatically sort the user into into the corect usergroup(s). (Link Private so I can not disclose.)

Ahh, oops.
Sorry, yes.. I believe you can do it in phpbb. I was thinking of IPB.

Dig in through the Admin CP, that's what I do.

Also, I'm not experienced with phpbb at all, (never had one) so I don't know what to tell you.

Let's way for someone experienced with it to reply....

The only reason I want to do that is because it is a Game clan and I't will take forever to sort out all the members.

Also would I be able to do it so that if someone has a certain Username that they get sorted in to a usergroup?

Unfortunately, custom fields on registration is not possible at this stage in time.

However, you can make user groups and have the users "apply" for them. All you have to do is approve them.

check out www.phoenixreborn.org/forums , Check out the registration fields.
Notice the 2 extras which (When I signed up) Automatically sorted me into my Usergroup without any mods or admins being online. (Crews and Flag fields) This was made through phpBB

Perhaps this is something that Forumer should work on in the future?
