I have several "Moderators Only" forums. I have recently made someone a moderator in several forums, yet I don't know how to allow them access to the mods only forum. It asks for a password and I'm not sure how to tell the board via the AdminCP that this person is now a moderator. Do they need a certain password that no one else has or do I need to do something to elevate them to an official status where they are allowed access with their current password.

When I go to User Permission Control, I can allow them to moderate forums, but they still can't get in the moderator's only forum and the only options of their User Level on the User Permission Control are Adminstrator and User and I don't want them to be an Adminstrator. Can you help?

Set the forumpermission of the mods only forum to private (Meaning view, read, post and reply). Then go to the user permission of the mods (advanced mode), and set all the permissions for this user to 'ON' for the mods only section. That should do it.

Another option is to create a (closed) usergroup 'Moderators', change the groups permission for the mods only section to 'ON' and add every moderator to this group. (The forumpermissions still have to be set as above)

That worked, thanks! I have another question. Is there anyway to remove the line at the botton of each forum on the main page that says "Moderator [Name.]?"
