| Member | Greetings I am a forum admin and enabled the option Account Activation in Configuration settings. A new member has already registered and can't log in waiting for the validation from my side. But I have not found any commands to activate this new account anywhere. Also I received a mail with, most probably, an activation key, but this link seems not to work. Please prompt me. Thanks |

| VIP Team | Ok, here is another way to activate the accounts. In your admin cp, under, "User Admin", go to "Management", then look up the user waiting to be authorized. Scroll down to the bottom of the users page where it says, "Special admin-only fields" and find, "User is active" Set that to, "yes" Majicman ![]() |

| Junior Forumer ![]() | you could also avoid the situation that it is you that is going to validate his account by changing the "activation" to user in the ACP -> General Admin -> Configurations. this will allow the user to be the one to activate his accout. this will send an email to the newly registered user that he needs to activate his account this will avoid the situation that you will be the one to activate their accounts. cheers! |

| Member | Hi, Thank you for your replies. The matter is that yesterday a person registered and both me and him received e-mails: his *******d that validation is required by the admin - asking to wait, mine asked me to validate that member and contained a link. I clicked on the link in the mail, but it didn't work - it just opened the home page , and tha's it. Now I have tried the way kindly offered by Majicman, but in User Admin>Management>Look up user there is nothing. What can it be? I really worry. I specially opened this forum to shift all my community members from Yahoo! closed group and hoped to do that as soon as possible. But first I wanted to check all options. Now I don't know what to do. Thanks |
