Angry 06.forumer.com - [RESOLVED] Administration Panel and posting problems

hello, my forum has 2 problems

1- I can not access my admin panel one day out of two. I click on it and it redirects me to the log in page. I log in and if I don't click on the "remember me" box it does NOTHING, so I click on it, then it sends me to the log in page again. I do it again and then it just sends me to my forum. I have tried to log in a dozen of times (times two) tonight alone, and I WILL NOT WORK

Yes I have the right password, yes I have tried clearing my cookies and such, restarting the browser... I won't work. This is a real pissoff and a BIG deterrent to someone who is going to guy fbucks to activate a chat room....

2- when we try to post stuff, it keeps giving us "invalid session" problems. Sure we can click again and it works but trying 3-5 times per post is getting REALLY annoying.

1. please post your forum url
2 please make a test account and if you manage to get into the admin panel give it admin permissions and send me an email with the log in details so I an try to replicate the problem and report it.
The technicians will also need to be able to try it out.

right... how about no.
1-I am not about to let you log in to my forum as an admin.
2-You yourself refuse to give your forum address on your profile so why would I post mine?
3-what are you going to see that I don't, its a log in page that just keeps going back to where it started.
When I click on "go to administration panel" I get send to a log in box.

In the left corner of the screen, I see
"forumname_Forum Index » Log out [ julienrl ]"

I put the log in info and click "log in"
and then it sends me to
"forumname log in"

Were I get to log in but this time its just the normal forum log in

not giving out passwords is just about the most frequent warning.

Yeah well I am not just anybody I had passwords from hundreds of forums.

I am here to help and I didn't ask for your root admin password I have asked you to make a new account and give it some admin permissions so I can test the problem and i also asked you to email it to me so it's kept secret.

But ultimately it's up to you.
We can not help you if we can't replicate the problem and also test the board after it's repaired if it really was repaired. The description thing just doesn't work in this case.

Ummm. when a person says create a test account, you are supposed to make sure that account has no privleges, also if you give it admin access, then you usually send the details via a PM or email.
Also, fStaff know what they are doing, so basically by saying what you did:
Quote:
right... how about no.
1-I am not about to let you log in to my forum as an admin.
2-You yourself refuse to give your forum address on your profile so why would I post mine?

there is no proof that this poblem exists. If a staff member can prove it, then the issue will be taken up.
Also, the problem might be in your PC, so by saying that what are you going to see what I won't see is plain stupid.
Since you don't want to give out your forum url : http://rebluack.6.forumer.com/
By not proiding your forum url, you are going nowhere, nobody can help you out.
Thank you for choosing Forumer. Have a nice day.

:s sorry about that, I was trying to find out how to know if he was staff or not and I couldn't find it, also I did not knwo it was possible to make a admin account with no privileges... sorry if I was suspicious, this is my first forum. I assumed that the support would have access to all the forums already. As soon as I manage to log in I will give my test account admin privilege.

... I guess the huge FSUPPORT should have been a good enough hint.

once again, sorry. I feel foolish now for having been so rude.

well I have just successfully logged in the admin panel about 3 times in a row in Firefox and a few times in IE and I also posted a few test posts (you can delete them if you want) with no problems with both browsers.

As you've said that the problem is not always occurring I will come back to it later and try again if I can see what you can.

btw, what browser are you using and if anyone else is experiencing the posting problem what browser are they using? Ask them also to clear their cookies and cache to see if that would help.

IF clearing cookies does not help, try clearing your history, temp files, etc. and check your firewall[if you have one]
