Unhappy Forumer problems

Hello all. I'd like to ask forumer staff why my forumer's so slow. It happens almost every day and me and my clan-mates (from monstersgame) are thinking about getting a new, different one because of it. It's getting really annoying.

Also, why is it that this forum does not have the capability to delete topic shadows? And why is there no global announcement capability? Can these options be enabled somehow? Or is this just how it is?

Thank you, natyxxo

First, you can easily delete topic shadows. Just go to the bottom of the forum page, and click on "You can moderate this forum." Select the forums you want, and press delete.

Next, we are upgrading to phpBB3 very soon, and phpBB3 has Global Announcements.

And Third, I don't know why your server is slow, but it could be from a variety of things. But that usually clears up within a few hours.

Have I answered everything?

perhaps we dont have pbh3 because we can not delete topic shadows and we can not make global announcements.

Also we are in a fast paced game and we do not have time to wait a few hours when our forum is slow. I have built several forums and the only one I have issues with is this one so its not the way the forum is built.

The slow forum discourages our members posting important info in it that makes us a team in this game

Yeah, but the thing is we don't have a few hours.... We have this forum to use it, not to wait for times so that we can use it.

Let me see if I got this correctly, phpBB2 will upgrade to phpBB3?

Hello,

The phpBB2 upgrade to phpBB3 is still in development, but you can signup for a phpBB3 forum here. Please remember that our phpBB3 is still being worked on to sort out possible issues, and you may encounter a few bugs if you choose to sign up for the phpBB3.

The server status for server 8 appears to be fine, and I tried to access your forum and had an instant load. You can check the server status here, so if you see anything wrong with the server 8 status, let us know.

Regards,
Pandemix

you guys provided good support at the time it was needed but if we need to sign up for another forum anyway we might as well sign up for one we are already familiar with, thanks for your time though.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we are aware of server 8 being slow at times and the technicians are working on improving the server 8 performance.

It would be helpful if you could monitor the times of slowness over a few days and let us know exactly what time it happens.... so they can get on monitoring it at that time and get a better understanding why is it happening. (when you post the time please do not forget to include the timezone you are in as all of us live in a different part of the world.)

Is there any way of knowing if they're gonna improve server's performance any time soon? I don't mean to be rude, but some of my clan-mates are really complaining ALOT.

We really have no complaints about your support, I had a problem once I created myself and you guys came into our forum and straightened it out right off for that I would like to thank you very much. The problem aside from the forum being slow is we have simply outgrown the forum capabilities. Thanks again for all of your help.

I think Forumer's capabilities are far greater than those numbers but if you feel like that then who am I to argue.

In the meantime we will do our best to fix the performance of server 8 and who knows, you might even change your mind
