Hi, I've installed some templates but it appears like I can't switch to the new ones - the settings still stick with a template I've set some time ago. Does anybody have an idea how to fix it?

Check in your user cp and check in the styles menu that the settings have been overrun for all users.

So a single user cannot set a template only for himself?

They can. Go to Profile>Change Skin

and you may have made it so the default skin overrides the user's choice, so it appears as the same default. to change this, go to admin panel>general admin>configuration>override user style> click no
