Forums redirecting to earn-your-degree.com?

I have experienced and also had numerous complaints from my members regarding our forum redirecting to the following url;

http://earn-your-degree.com/degree/i...=70000&fil=all

There doesn't seem to be any regularity that predicts when this occurs, but when it does happen, it is upon a members logging in to the site.

http://staticxess.13.forumer.com/index.php

Is this advertising on the part of forumer service? Or what other reasonable cause could be happening there?

Hi, any updates on this issue?

I noticed it happens whether logged in or not. It just redirects even if viewing the forum index page.
It may happen on other pages but I haven't received any reports from my members to verify this.

I don't know if it's some code hidden within the forum index that's causing the redirect or what could be the cause, has anyone else experienced this on their site or at mine if they check my forum link?

Had reports from several members now that no matter what page on my forums they are viewing it redirects on occasion no rhyme or reason to
earn-your-degree.com/degree/index.php?ext=70000&fil=all

I believe this portion of the link [?ext=70000&fil=all] is an affiliate id # if that helps.
Lost one member already who felt this was an invasion of their privacy & became paranoid about hijackers, malware etc.

I removed javascripts from my forums several days ago but that didn't seem to be the issue.

Any help?

One report from a member and a personal experience of mine on two occasions that redirects also included the following url IP Address Locator - Enter an IP address to find its location - Lookup Country Region City etc

Any info on this? Has any other user experienced this redirect on their own forums?

Wanted to point out this problem was well before the connect or time out errors recently experienced that required myself to use a proxy. Many online proxies use forced adverts. So I know that wasn't the problem.

Hi, sorry for the very late reply. Redirections is a very, very, very tough bug to duplicate (and fix - if it a bug)

Can you please give us a few details that could possibly help us look into this problem further? Internet browser and version, operating system, have you cleared your cache?

I am using Win XP Home sp1, Opera 9.21, FX 2.0.0.11 & IE 6, mostly using Opera.

I always clear my cache & cookies after every session. Have checked my system for hijackers, malware etc. using AVG services, BitDefender, Kaspersky, Panda, etc. and my system's clean.

And as I stated I'm not the only one experiencing the redirects from my forums.
I noticed on one occasion I was able to duplicate the redirect when I cleared my cache then refreshed the page several times it finally redirected to the earn your degree site. I can't think of any other way to duplicate it because it is so random. So I understand why it would be really hard to duplicate or fix the issue.

I've asked my forum members to keep me updated in a specific thread or pm's if they experience anything like it again and so far I have at least a half dozen reports logged.
