Many users of our forum, including myself, have been experiencing sporadic forum slowdowns for the last week or so, especially when posting but also when opening page etc. I had 3 or 4 people complain about this. I have myself experienced this problem on and off using three different computers on three different networks (work, home, hotel). Just now, trying to open forum that just half an hour ago was working just fine, I got this:

"Unable to connect to database on 'localhost' with user 'xxxx'
Dear user, our technicians are aware of this issue! Please bear with us as we fix this bug!"

I was finally able to open it on 3rd attempt, but graphics (folder icons etc.) took a while to load. As I said, this occurs frequently yet sporadically - just 30 min earlier it worked fine.
