All subscribed threads are getting email from an email address that I used during sign-up. I have since changed that ( a long time ago now) to something like renoadmin@gmail.com.

but suddenly today it is using back my old email address that I used during sign-up with forumer.com.

Whats happening? I checked under Configuration and the admin's address is still renoadmin@gmail.com but it is saying something else when ppl get their posts notifications.

I need urgent help to correct this. Thanks

Check your old and new email inboxes for activation, they require activation to change the owners email address.

thanks for your reply. no you dont understand. I check both old and new and there is no email.

it was working fine. nobody change anything and one fine day, it just decided to use another email address.

please some one look into this bug. thank you

maybe i should reword my post. i think it causes some confusion.

okay its like this -

my admin email address is renoadmin@gmail.com
when my members subscribe to any threads, they will get email notification but when that email comes, its not from renoadmin@gmail.com.

previously it was! and suddenly it has change and I cant change it back

I have a problem with the owners emain-address:

After the maintenance on server 16, I saw that the owners E-Mail-Adress was N/A. I updatet my address, got an E-Mail with an link in there to klick in order to validate my e-mail-adress. I klicked on the link, and the following page said, that my owner E-Mail-Adress is updated. But when i look into fSettings, there's still no owners E-Mail-Adress.

There's also another bug with the fDomain that might also have to do with the phpbb-update. If you call a domain for your forum our own, please check out this thread:

strange that other admins are having the same problems but nobody seems to be giving an answer for this.

i still cant change my admin's email address. actually it doesnt recognize the address in there but revert back to the address that I signed up with.

Please help!

i had this problem at first but i changed it and clicked on the links

works fine now but the lesson has been learned when i start a new forum i will have a good email already in place

To clarify, I also was mailed a confirmation message. I clicked the link provided to verify the new address. I performed this procedure twice over two weeks. While each attempt automatically states the address was updated successfully. It was not. While some seem to have been successful in this endeavor, I was not so lucky. It shouldn't be a matter of picking a reliable address from the start of a new forum. An option to update ownership, etc. should, IMO, be more fluid than it is at this time. It is my hope that this issue is, in fact, a bug. And one that can corrected so that our continued use of these forums can be as enjoyable as intended.
