Hi I am completely new to setting up forums, and I am experiencing a problem completing registration.

I filled in stage 1 of the registration process and clicked on the email I was sent. It opened a new window which says:

Great!
Let's continue setting up your Forumer™ forum!

and directly beneath that is a box to click on that says

Quote:

CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE >>

but when I click to continue, absolutely nothing happens, the same page keeps coming up.

I'd be grateful for any help! Thank you!

(btw it says I must select a thread prefix, I have no idea what this is so I selected the first one on the list, not sure if it means anything)

Did anyone else experience a similar problem when signing up? I am really eager to get this sorted so I can begin working on my forum.

Please stop bumping your thread.

In order for us to look into the problem, we need to get some more details from you. What forum software did you sign up for? What internet browser(s) have you tried? Have you cleared your cookies and cache? What operating system are you on?

I didn't realise I was bumping it, I thought it was at the top because it was new, sorry!

I haven't managed to get through the registration process, I clicked on register phpBB and filled in the email validation page. I received the validation email with a link to click on, I clicked on it, and went to a page as I described in the first post. I haven't got any further than that!

I'm using Internet Explorer on Win XP, all my cookies etc have been deleted recently.

The email says to copy and paste a security code, but on the page I get, there is no where to copy it to, so I'm wondering if the problem may be something to do with that?

Additional information:

Since my previous message I have also tried completing the registration process in an AOL window, instead of IE which I usually use, and still had the same problem.

AOL is notoriously bad in relation to forums, have you tried Firefox? You have nothing to loose.

I don't have firefox, I use internet explorer, I only tried AOL that once to see if there was a problem with my IE, but as I got the same message there, I don't know what to think!

Did anyone else have this problem when signing up?

I think that no one here knows what to do to help with the problem I am experiencing, so I'm just wondering does anyone know of an email address or some other way I should be reporting this problem? So far I have only found my way to this forum.

I have tested this on both fire fox and internet explorer 6. I am unable to duplicate your problem that you are having.

Here is a screen shot of the security code box:

A few more things: What version of IE are you using? Can you submit a screen shot so I can see exactly what you problem is?
