In fact, to get access to ACP you need to log in twice. The second login is called re-authentication and it was introduced with phpBB 2.0.15 (I think in May 2005) to increase the security. But if you still don't get to your ACP then it looks really weird.

I tried to submit screenshots but it won't let my upload from my pc, and the url ones are way too small.
Pretty pissed off now but I'll try to give a detailed explanation.

When I go to the index site first, it tells me to log in.
I do that.

Next page says at the bottom that one registered user, Windmistress (me) is online, but it still says I shall log in, at top and bottom, and there's no admin panel option.

So I log in again and this time it gives me option to log out at top, which means I'm now 'really' logged in, though I have to do that (the login) several times sometimes.
However now I can click "go to admin panel".
When I do that, the re-authenticate page comes up, but next to the forum options (FAQ, Search, Memberlist etc) the little pics are not shown and when I click login again, the green forumer start page comes up.

I'm co-admin on this forum and am haveing excatly the same problem.
I sign in, but it still looks like I haven't-it has the 'log in to check your private messages' and the quick log in at the bottom. Yet I can still moderate and read my PMs, so I have signed in clearly.
After several times of pressing the sign in button it does change to what I would normally expect.
When I click on the 'Go to adminstration panel' it goes into the re-authenticate your password page. I write my password, which is completly correct and get what seems to be a big forumer ad.

I have tried this on differant browsers (6 to be exact), cleaned my cookies and everything and nothing works, so it's not a fault on just our two computers

No it's not sorted.

When I go to www.flylowforum.com I get the green forumer page.
When I go to www.flylowforum.com/index.php instead I see the forum, but the above mentioned admin login problems are there then.


When I go to my forum at http://flylow.16.forumer.com/ instead I can log in normally and nothing's wrong.
So I wonder what this is, and none of our users have problems accessing the board through www.flylowforum.com. No forumer page, no login problems. Just for the admins! :-S

www. won't work... its http:// yourforum.16.forumer. com. Thats why you wre getting the error... even http://www. won't work either.

It doesn't have to do with that, I checked. My domain www.flylowforum.com is redirected to http://flylow.16.forumer.com.

But if I go to www.flylowforum.com, to the redirected link, I can't login to my admin panel.

Okay here's screenshots!

1. When I type in my browser www.flylowforum.com, the green forumer page comes up, though it should be redirected to http://flylow.16.forumer.com.

2. I type http://flylowforum.com and the startpage of forum comes up. so far so good but that one should come up when I type the above link!

3. after first login it tells me I'm logged in (Windmistress), but no admin panel, and no log out option. (see here: screenshot was too large: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rize_login.jpg)

4. after 3 times more pressing the login button, I'm finally logged in properly (with admin panel option and lougout option)

5. after clicking on admin panel, the logo isn't there anymore, neither are the logos next to the options like Memberlist, FAQs etc.

6. when I reauthenticate myself, it like in 1. gives me the same green forumer page.

Okay. Now, I can reach the forum again through www. but however when I do this, I still can't access the admin panel from there, still the little icons and forum logo disappear on verification login, and green forumer page comes up, so I think it must be a setting problem of the server or something, I'd really be grateful if someone could fix this.

Isn't that a good thing? If one of your members gains control of your account through the http://www. he can't delete your account or anyone elses! The only way to access your admin is through the forumer way. So he must first find out whats ur forumer url, then try to hack it. But he won't know that ur admin panel doesn't work from the http://www.. So now if he did hack it you may get control again without anything getting deleted. I accually call that an extra feature. That awsome! Its not a bad thing. Its a good thing.
