| Member ![]() | This has just started today. When I click on 'view new posts', or if I click on the back button to go to where I've just been on the forum, it says "You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while." I haven't searched! It's bleeding irritating me now. Any ideas? Thanks DIA www.deepinsightforum.com Last edited by deepinsightfo; 04-26-2006 at 09:42 AM. |

| fSupport Manager ![]() ![]() | it could be restricted because searching takes more sql queries. People could have been searching a lot which could bog down a server. Limez should know more about this. I don't know if it will be a one time thing or it will be done forever. |

| Banned | THIS IS NOT A BUG! PLEASE POST IN THE APPROPRIATE SECTION WHEN REQUESTING SUPPORT! ------------------------------------------ Guys, there is a flood control on searches, but you can easily fix it yourself! ![]() Just follow these simple steps.. phpBB ACP --> Configuration --> Search Flood Interval (default is 15 seconds) --> Submit If that doesn't solve your issue, please create a bug report in the phpBB Bug Reports section. ![]() As to Kurisu, please do NOT provide support, if you have no idea what you are talking about. Limez did NOT put this limit in because of server strain, it is the phpBB default! |

| Banned User | Hey Mark, do you know if this is a new addon on some servers? I didn't see it on server 13, there was only the option for posting flood interval. |

| Member ![]() | Thanks for the responses, but I'm really confused now! I am NOT searching. I haven't searched for anything for days. I am literally getting the message every time I click on the back button on my browser or on the link that says "View posts since last visit" or sometimes even when I just click on a link to a post. Are you saying if I change the default in the flood bit to bugger all this will fix THIS problem that I have (NOT a search thing!)? OK I'll try it! |

| Banned User ![]() | Try setting it to 0....maybe that will help it as there is no 'restriction' If you have the same problem, then come back and post as a bug ![]() ~crimsyhs ![]() |

| Member | Hello! No one (not even admin) can post or pm on my board at the moment, and the time zone is the wrong one (and has been for the last couple of days). What's going on? |

And about the clock that annoys me a lot, it now says last post has been made on April 28, where it's April 27. Checked on that too, and our board time zone is by us set to normal GMT.

| Member | i'm getting "You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while." whenever anyone tries to post, including myself as the admin. I haven't made a post in several hours and I'm still getting this error. It even gives this error when making PMs Quote:
I've logged out and logged back in to no avail. I made a test user account, and was able to post. logged back in as my admin account, and get the flood error again. as per the quote above from mark, making a bug report. forum url http://wafflesls.16.forumer.com/index.php edit: also getting the same error if i try to edit a post. 2nd edit: I also noticed that there are topics with the "new posts" icon next to them. When I click on them, and click back on the forum index, it still indicates that there are "new posts" even if i refresh the page. Last edited by Usagichan; 04-27-2006 at 01:45 PM.
