Hi all,
I am very new to this, can anyone help me?

When I start the forum, everything seems very fine, however, now, I am unable to upload any files anymore, as well as my member.

I have done the following:-
1) include the file type to be updated
2) check and ensure the file size is ok to be uploaded

Can anyone help me?

Forumer does not allow the uploading of files, as it is a huge security risk.

For huge security reason? it was a lie! why not limits what kind of file extention the members can upload like most webhost of forumhost did? Its far better than to disallow the member to upload their owm file or button.

I bet forumer.com doesn't want to lost much more space.

ops sorry, i am trying to say that i am unable to attach file, although all the necessary has done, for example, i have ensure the limit of each attachment is above the file i wish to attach and also ensure the allowed file type to be attached in the admin panel.

the message will still shown "File type not allowed"

I know this doesn't help you but I don't recommend allowing members to attach files to any post. moderators or admins should be ok, but if they are just posting pictures, host it on free image hosts.

any one can help? I really cannot attach file.. it will prompt me the file type not allowed, however, I am very sure the file type is keyed in the system setting.,

I didn't know it was possible for phpBB forums to upload files. It's not that there is a security risk as all of the IPB forums can upload files...

im having the same sort of problem. im admin, and although it says next to the attatch button, that i have a limit of 48mb, my forum often wont let me upload things at all, regardless of size. the members are having the same problem.

Could you provide us with a screenshot of this please? I was not aware uploading was enabled on any of the forums.

No, not directly to phpBB. You may try to upload your files from
http://www.easy-share.com or another file uploading website and pasting the link to the forum. That is the only way.
