Find all posts by (member name) does not work if the members name is less than 3 letters. "Search by Author" also does not work if the author has less than a 3 letter name.

This is a known "issue" with PHP.

It is not something Forumer can do anything about easily.

About the only thing forumer can do is restrict the minimum name length on a global setting, which would effect EVERYONE. This would be a server setting.

I'll ask limez to change this if he can, but I doubt he will considering he has MUCH more important things to worry about than this.

Actually, I think this is probably just a setting on the forums. I believe it's just you can't use less than 3 letters in your search. The admin should be able to change this setting though. I know you can with IPB.

In the admin CP, we can control just about everything other than the min/max length for names.

That should be available to each forum admin, but it is not.
