I need help setting up the avatar size of avatars :P
i go to the plave and set the avatar size from 6144 to 15144 (around 15kb's) and it says that it's all done then when i go check my profile page it still shows 6 kb's or under :S
how can i fix this?
oh and btw i tried changing skins and it doesnt work...
and one more question... how do i access my forum directory?

And, also, you can nto chane the file size of avatars. The limit is 6 KB to help save space on our servers. They cost thousands to keep up every year, and, we here at Forumer are all volunteers. The administrator has another full time job. This is just a hobby.

waaa could u somehow PLSPLSPLSPLS increase mine to ONLY 9 kb's?

i think that wont be possible. you see if you ask to increase yours to 9k that would be unfair to others that have 6k only. so if forumer.com would increase yours to 9k that would mean increasing everybody's forum avatar max limit to 9k also. which is eventually not help the server. if you know what i mean.

You can upload avatars at many sites like imageshack (sorry if mentioning of other sites is a violation of the code of conduct, if so plz message me than I will remove it from my post, just trying to help...) Also, you can link to an off-site avatar.

I understand this. However why isn't there a max upload size nor a max avatar size on the IPB forums?

There is, actually. It's just higher. Look, the servers are becomin more expensive, and Forumer is becoming HUGE. In order to fit more people onto a server, this is necesary. I'm a grphic designer, and I cna make some pretty sweet animated avatars under 6KB.

And, no, reccomending ImageShack is always a good idea! Linking to off-site images makes the server load even less.
