Forumer Head Quarters fSwapMeet Tutorial

Hello and thank you for taking participation in the FHQ fSwapMeet sections. This guide will be a detailed presentation of how the fSwapMeet sections are set up, run and will even give you a few tips on how to conduct business with your fellow Forumers! We hope you enjoy this, and we hope it helps.

Chapter I

Introduction to the fSwapMeet

Before we begin, we would like to explain a few things to you.

The fSwapMeet section is a place of business within fHQ (Forumer Headquarters). All sales are conducted in fBucks (Forumer currency). Right now, the current exchange rate is 30,000 fBucks for 5 USD's (Note: like any type of currency the exchange rate varies based on supply and demand. While forumer.com sells f$30,000 for $5USD, there are users who may sell their fBucks at lower rates). Pretty much all transactions are allowed here and we have numerous market places located in the fSwapMeet to conduct your business. You may buy and sell both products and services. This includes forum posting, forum registrations, graphic design, staff rentals etc.
For your convenience, we have created different categories for each type of item. (just like in a department store J).

Chapter II

Proper Thread Starting / Placement

Proper offer starting is very important for a couple of reasons: First, if you are using descriptive thread titles, the buyer or seller will know exactly what you are wanting to sell or buy without looking at the thread itself. Second, if you post your deals in the correct department, this will save confusion with other shoppers in the fMarket.

For your convenience, we have thread prefixes in some of the departments. Some of these prefixes vary from department to department. For instance, in the Sites & Forums department, the prefixes are: [SELLING][FORUM with 1-100 Members] and so fourth. If you are wanted to sell or buy a forum, create a new thread in Sites & Forums; select the most appropriate thread prefix. For the thread title, all you need to do is type in the price that is most appropriate.

Buying, Selling Posts Department:

The set up there is a little bit more different; please pay close attention to the thread prefixes. There is a combination of register plus post, just register or just post. There are prices for each one you select as well. For instance: [REG + POST][f$100pp] If you notice closely, there is a pp in there. That stands for Per Post. Once again, there is a pr in the REG prefixes, that stands for Per Registration. When using the prefixes, you need to add to the thread title "Up to x many registrations", or "Up to x many posts".

Buying / Selling:

There are these prefixes located in the "Uncategorized Stuff". This should be pretty self explanatory, so we will not be going into that much. Buying is the process of which you are paying money for an item. Selling is the process of which you are receiving money from a buying.

Uncategorized Stuffartm Depent:

Our goal is to decrease the number of uncategorized items, and you can help by posting your item in the right category. How you would you like if you went to a department store and went to a specific isle and found a mess where all different products were thrown together?

The set up is a bit different there as well. As said earlier, the prefixes are different. There are only [BUYING] and [SELLING]. You must use the following topic format when starting a new offer: [BUYING] / [SELLING] [item description here] [x many fBucks] So, lets say I need traffic for my website, I would need to use the following format: [BUYING] [Traffic for my website] [f$300 per click]

Chapter III

Details, Tips and Tricks

It is very important to provide a complete description of what you want to sell or purchase - this includes the thread titles as well. If you provide a thorough, detailed summary of your items, they are more than likely are going to be bought. People do not want to see "selling this forum" and a link with no description of the item.

Examples of detailed items: Selling forum with x many threads, x many posts, x many members, cool modifications such as FTP, Money, etc. Board created on dd/mm/yyyy
The reason we want everyone to use specific thread titles is because we do not want anyone to waste there time on bogus deals. It is very helpful to those that want to conduct business to see exactly what you want and the price without clicking the thread and wasting time.
So, no more "Posts / registration" thread titles!

Tips and Tricks to successful fMarketing:
Be generous to your clients: if you're snobby, rude, etc, in your offers, people will not participate in your offers. However, if you are professional, people will look up to you as a good sales person.
Offer discounts or low rates: the competition is heating up.
Buyers want to spend as little as possible in the fMarkets and want their money's worth of goods.

Bad reputation hurts: if you are an untrusted member with a bad reputation, don't expect to do very much business. You will need to earn that reputation back. It is very important that you use the fTrader ratings after each and every transaction. (Like E-bay) This is important because people will know if that user is a trusted member or not. Beware of users with a lot of negative feedbacks.

Follow the rules:
if you want to do business, you're going to obviously need to follow the guidelines. If you do not, then your offer will be locked by a support staff member, and you will loose out on business.

Chapter VI

Rules and Policies

Effective April 24th, 2008, all transactions must be worth a minimum of 100 fBucks per unit. So please only buy / sell your offers that are at least 100 fBucks. (e.g.: if you want someone to come and make 10 posts on your forum, your offer must be at least f$1,000)

All transactions must be done in fBucks only – not real money.

Offers/Requests not to exceed your available funds
; you may not offer more fBuck$ than you have. If you have 100 fBuck$, you may not post a request offering to pay 400 fBuck$.

No Spamming.
You may not post fake offers/requests in order to promote the URL of your forum. There is a show off forum for that. Users caught doing this, may lose their account.

Do not bump your offers.
This includes double, triple, etc posting. Users who do this will have their thread locked and will receive a write up.
If you are selling advertisement space on your website (links/affiliates); you must provide statistics that clearly show how many visitors your page gets. So, place a counter on your site, and then give the potential buyer access to the stats. This way nobody gets ripped off.

Do not leave a negative feedback to someone for the wrong reason.
The only time you may leave a negative feedback, is when business transacted was bad and the goods were never delivered. The same also goes for Neutral and Positive feedbacks as well.

Please note that the fSwapMeet is to be used at your own risk. We are not responsible if you get treated unfairly or get scammed out of your fBucks.
Please pay close attention to the trader rating to make sure you conduct business with a trustworthy member.

Chapter V

FAQ's

Question: I've purchased an item from a seller, how do I give him/her the funds?
Answer: Next to the side of each post (under the avatar), there is a link that says "Pay". Click that link and enter in the amount the item was worth, and click submit.

Question:
I have a lot of fBucks and would like to cash out for real USD$, how do I go about doing that?
Answer: Right now, you may want to start a new thread offering your rate or shop around for other rates. Please note that PayPal is best with these purchases.
