Default A Simple piece of code?

I don't know if this is in the right section because i use html templates to get to this but i was wondering if there was a code that can be used so that only members can see the items inside of it? For example(i know its not the right code):

$Ipb.members$
Recommended sites: Rpg Maker, Rpg Maker 2
$Ipb.members.end$

The reason i ask for this is because i want members to only be able to see the recommended sites only, not guests. Is there a way to do this?

You could just make a private forum which only members can see where you post the recommended sites in...... that would be easier than to install some codes.......

Just make a new forum for it and adjust the permisions so that guests are not allowed to see it......

Well i would but seriously no offense i dont like it(doing that, its dumb) and my forum already has enough forums that make it just a perfect size and adding more, it would make it a super long forum that would take forever to scroll down to the bottom lol.

How do you plan on doing it? Like, are you wanting to make a box at the bottom of the forum with all this member only information?

I have coded a side column code on a test forum with a login/member info panel. What it does is it shows a login form for guests, and shows member information when logged in. I think this code is what you want, and could be tweaked a little to match what you need exactly.

Pictures: What shows as Guest, What shows for members

It's on my test board, if you don't understand what I was saying above, just register on there and login and log out a few times and you will notice the top box changes from member to guest.

Let me know, thanks.

Well pandemix if you don't mind I can help him some. Like pandemix said you can make a private forum. You can just edit the post symbols, ect. You can also use a Cascading Style Sheet to edit your forum in many different ways. I hope both of us helped you out

It sounded as if you wanted to make more than 1 little line.........like recommended links...

It is also possible to make a sub forum for members only in the section where you want the inks posted, and that would not increase the size of your forum either.................

Well it's up to you.......good luck.

Hope you find your code, maybe fMods will have it.
