I've used invision boards before, but never with forumer as my host, so forgive me if my newbie status and general disorientation causes me to sound redundant or to repeat previously asked questions. Mind you, I did check before posting here, so forgive me if I've missed the topic asking the same question.

Several of the ready-made skins have default banners that say things like "Your forum name" or "Your board." It would be easy enough, I suppose, to figure out how to change the banner completely, but what if one simply wishes to replace the "Forum Name" with the title of the prevalent board? The entire banner doesn't have to be changed, does it?

Again, forgive me if I am simply repeating a previously asked question, but I thank you for your time in either case.

Hi,

I retained my default banner and removed the text with photoshop. That's really the only way to do it - a "blank" is not provided with any of the IPB templates.

Can you post a screenshot of the Banner you want to modify? Which template is it? I'm pretty handy with photoshop, so I could try to help...and I'm sure plenty others will offer to help you too.

I have seen your current banner and unfortunately my software is not good enough to do a neat job of it im afraid.

Meusvita , would you kindly assist? click go under 'AvalonRising's' username to veiw his/her board.

a right click on his/her banner will allow you to save it to your pc where you could work on it.
I beleive the forum name and username are one and the same i.e 'AvalonRising'

Okay, got it...and *GULP*...this will be a doooozy to clear, but I'll give it my best shot. I think I can handle it.

Before I start.....no one else is going to do this right??? Just want to make sure before I go to town on it and give myself a migraine LOL

Also, if there's any changes you want in the banner other than to clear the name...speak up now

Ta Da!!!! This is the best I could do on short notice....remember, your NEW banner name will go over this....so any modifications I made shouldn't be too noticeable at all

In relation to the original question posted - how can I replace the banner at the top of a skin that I'm using. I just changed skins on my board to the Christmas skin, but some of my members are now finding it confusing that the original banner at the top is gone. I'd like to replace the Merry Christmas banner that comes with the skin to a banner that I created.

How do I do this?

Thank you so much for all your help! It was so kind of you to do the banner for me; I'm only mediocre at best when it comes to Photoshop. That's saved me a lot of trouble.

I hate to use this thread, but I need the same help. I can't find the code that you told me to look for, but I've narrowed it down. Is it some where in this?

I found it! It was just a little bit lower from what I was looking at. I was actually looking for the <-------> header thing, but it isnt on there.
