i dunno if this is the right forum but its to do with cutomising so i think it is

i have been trying to make different poeple with different user ranks appear different colours......when changing them to basic colours like red or white or green it has worked fine. but when i used this:

<span style='color: white; font-weight: bold; filter:glow(color=black, strength=5); height: 1px;'>

to get like a glow effect around the name it appears to have worked when i look at the user group in the control panel....but then when i go to look at there name in the 'who is online' list there name appears just plain white with no black affect around it.

i have also tried this with different colours with it always working in the admin cp list but never in the who is online list.

The code you used above is using white for the base color, that is why.
Quote:
<span style='color: red; filter:glow(color=blue, strength=2); height: 1px;'>
The red part is the base color of your text. The blue part is the glow of the text. So just fix the base color.

i didn't think i explained it right....so i'll show u a screen shot of what it looks like in the admin cp and then without changing it what it looks like on the forum.

this is it in the admin cp

^thats the name of the group...

and this is it when someone within that group is on the 'online list'

as you can see it appears the glow has worked in the admin cp but when it comes to it working on the online list the glow effect doesn't seem to work....i have multiple groups with the effect on and none of them seem to work anywhere else apart from in the admin cp.
