Sorry for making this new thread...i need some help again :P

I want to set us forum name this: "AIM Chatroom: Ragnarok"

Above link its not working either, cause it opens a web page, and its supposed to open the aim chat...

Anyway...my problem is when posting it in the forum name, it appears all code, and not the link to the chat room as i want..

Ive seen it in other forums (not forumer thou..) but its a way to do it? Many thanks..!!

Hmm...with web pages is not working either..

Perhaps is another option ...not puting the code in the name

What i want to do is to establish as name of forums, links of different pages...a link for the aim chat, for another web page, and that sort of things...

You can submitt your site to search engines like Google and Yahoo.

Hmm...nope..thats not exactly what i want...

This is what exactly i want for my forum:

" Starfox's Sk Tactics "

I want that as forum name...so when ppl click on "Sk tactics" it goes to the other site...

(i want the same thing with the aim chat, but lets solve one by one

Ok to solve this, go to your Admin CP
Find System Settings Click on General Configuation And find Board name And put in "Sk tactics" for your board name.

What i want to put is forums that are linked to another place!

Forums!!!

When i post the code it creates the forum with the code, not with the link...

So it means im doing something bad :S

Make a redirection forum

Oh so you want to make a Redirect forum on your forum?
Go Admin CP > New Forum. Where it says 'Add to which parent?' choose which category to add it to. Then fill in the Forum Name and Description. Then scroll down to Forum Redirect Options and fill in the URL. Then where it says 'Switch on the URL redirect?' click Yes. This will give you something that looks like a forum link, but takes you to another site..

Is that what you wanted?

Now two more things.. first, when making the forum as u told me, the link opens in the same window, is there any chance to make it open in a new page? Prolly the option to do that is: "Target to redirect to?
Leave blank or use '_self' to load in same browser window" but i dont know what to put in that blank...

And another thing...all this is usefull for other web pages...what if i want it to link it to an aim chat?

aim:gochat?roomname=Ragnarok

Thats the code that makes open the AIM Chatroom i want to link... How can i do that?

To make the link open in a new window, put this in the "Target to redirect to?" box:

Edit: Under the 'Join a Chat' part on the AOL website, it says "Note:You must have Instant Messenger installed for these links to work", so I am not sure if you can directly link to them.. Is the 'Join a Chat' section what you wanted?

Yeah...I mean...I know some other forums pages that have that...

Instead of a link to another page...a link that when u touch it, AIM opens and u are invited to the chat...

But I dont know how to do it
