How come that there is an option it the Admin CP to enable the posting of HTML in messages, however when it is enabled it will not display it and you can only post HTML in your signature ???

Posting html in any image is an invitation to disaster if you know anything about web site hijacking, browser hijacking, script codes, inbedded viruses links and the list goes on forever.

On my forum we allow neither for strict security and I do not recomnmend any body to click on any banners, sigs, images that you even think might contain any malicious html code that could auto download anything onto your computer with out you knowing it!!!!

As a chat helper on a major chat network I helps hundreds everyday with this issue and this is a nasty way of getting some virus or trojan you did not count on...

I advise all forumer.com members to make sure your own members have the best in up to date anti virus programs and a up to date security firewall in place and functional and that everybody should learn how and what they do for you and keep them updated with the current updates as well as keep up on your windows critical security updates as well!

free antivirus: http://www.grisoft.com for avg-free antivirus

free firewall: http://www.zonelabs.com free personal firewall

If you run windows xp mysel;f I recommend getting a better firewall than the one that comes in xp home/pro as testing has shown it is not very good.

My apologies to the original poster and the forum host here for getting off topic but internet security is one of my pet peeves and one of my specialties that I help out hundreds with everyday.
