Default [RESOLVED] Guests are not viewing Ads.
Hi I remembered that when our paid hosting was arbitrarily removed we were given the option of Ad removal but this could be fine tuned to exclude guests.
If you were not logged in you would see the Ads, this saved some fbucks so Ad removal lasted longer.
This is no longer happening at http://blindman.15.forumer.com and I can't remember how to activate it.
Can someone assist?

You should have an option to activate ad removal for each user group.....

ACP -> Users and Groups -> Manage User Groups -> Edit Group -> Allow ad removal for this group? -> Yes/No depending on what you want and click on Complete Edit

also in ACP -> fSettings -> fPremium Upgrades -> Ad removal -> Exclude Guests from Ad Removal -> tick the box and click on Update.

Thanks for that Wild Cat, I checked and that is how the board is set up in the Users table but fsettings gives me this error

Guests should not be able to view without seeing the ads.
This is not what's happening however, can you go to http://blindman.15.forumer.com as a guest and verify?

And you have guests set to see the ads in the Manage user group section?

The fSettings section was specially added because in the phpBB2 forums you can not set each user group one by one.... you can do that in the IPB forums... and you are right, guests should have the ads if you have set the user group to see them...

Thanks Wild Cat, I do have guests see ads marked in the Guest profile
in the manage users section.
This glitch, not of my making has run away with countless fbucks.

I suppose its around about 10 days ago maybe more.
When I first went on another computer and was therefor not logged in,
the penny didn't drop but something was niggling at the back of my mind.
The penny dropped yesterday when again I used another PC to access the
forum.
