Hi...Just set up my forum and was trying to get the skin. It says to go to "archive-in" but I can't seem to find it. Where is it? Thanks.

You need to go to your General Configuration and where it says, "Use Safe-Mode Skins?" Make that Yes.

Archive_in is located in your FTP.

No, I know you know what you speak if you mean about the FTP folders and such, but, you dont in a way because, if you truley did know, then, you would know that Forumer doesnt offer FTP.

Sorry, I meant an alternative to the usual skin installation which requires archive-in, not an alternative for forumer.

Ok.......I did the General Configuration thing and chose yes. Went back to teh skin choosing, but it still says the same thing..ACK!

Did you save your settings? If you did, this may be a fourth server bug... post it in the BUGS forum... I ahve noticed alot of ppl using server 4 are having this same problem.

every time i try to import one, it says "Directory creation failed, cannot import skin set. Please check the permission in 'archive_in' " help please btw yes im on sever 4

Ok, I go to the Admin CP in my forum, and go to the section where you change skins. I go to the one that says 'Night Time Gray', and select 'import'. However whenever I do so a message comes up saying: "Directory creation failed, cannot import skin set. Please check the permission in 'archive_in' " What does that mean, and how can I fix it so I am able to change my forum's skin?

It must be a CHMOD problem on the server. Are you on server 4?
