| Member | Hi all, I've recently set up a Forumer Board, and have been OK up until I tried to test the moderators controls. 1. I cant locate the warn panel anywhere? 2. I am unable to delete posts from the Mod CP even though I have delete permission or when logged on as Admin. Any ideas? TIA Roger |

| Elite Forumer ![]() | You do not need to go into the Mod. CP to delete single posts or threads... each post has a delete icon in it right next to the quote and report icon, you click on the delete icon in the post in question and it will delete it. For deleting or otherwise managing threads you have to scroll down and you will find the "Topic moderation" drop down menu, you chose what you want to do and click "Go" ![]() You also can manage your threads from the mods. CP ================= About the warning system... you have to enable it on your board... Got to AdminCP -> System settings -> Warning Set-up -> Enable the warning system? : Yes -. set it to your requirements and click on Submit changes... To get to the warn panel you just have to click on the Increase-decrease warn icon under the user's avatar in the post view... ![]() Last edited by Wild Cat; 03-26-2008 at 04:04 PM. |
![]() [No Name Forums][RCX forums][Forum Promotion][IHWC forums] USEFUL TIP: If your support request gets resolved, click on THREAD TOOLS > MARK THIS THREAD AS SOLVED. This will mark the thread RESOLVED and will close the thread. (please use this tip!) Please do not PM/e-mail me for support unless I ask you to. Do a search and if you don't find your answer create a thread with your question and I will be happy to help. I can not be replying the same answer over and over in an e-mail/PM. Thanks. | |

| Member | Thanks for that Wild Cat - the warn system is up and running OK. I still cannot delete a certain post. The "delete" button appears on most posts, but not on this one! Could it be a user setting somewhere? The post I'm trying to delete was posted by me logged on under a different user name without mod or admin rights, although I may have inadvertently altered other setting somewhere!! You help is much appreciated. |

| Elite Forumer ![]() | It's hard to help when we are talking in general and I can not really see the post in question .... but there is no user setting that could prevent the admin or the mods from deleting a post. The only posts that have no delete button are the first post in the thread, you cannot delete them that way. If you want to leave the rest of the thread but not the first post you need to split the thread and then delete that one post as if you were deleting the thread... Oh.......I suspect you have your forum set to show posts in descending order.........basically you can not delete the post which started the thread..........so it can be either the first or the last, depending on your settings.... You have to split the thread and delete that post as if you were deleting a thread. | |
