Default "user posted image"

I have a question about posting images on my site. Why is it that when some members and myself post an image up, it only last about a day and then gives us a red X with the text saying "user posted image"? Do I have it on some type of settings that needs to be adjusted? Thanks for your time in advance!

Is this occurring to all users?

And are you uploading directly or using [ img] tags?

Then it could be that the site you are using the images from has either deleted them or uses hotlink protection. You are better downloading the image, then re uploading them using a free image hosting service such as ImageShack

According to the HTML code.

http://www.filehive.com/files/080224/spaceball.gif
Is the image being displayed.

I would think of this being a filehive problem.

An explanation of what filehive has implemented, although the link has flickr on it.
