I have a question about posting images on my site. Why is it that when some members and myself post an image up, it only last about a day and then gives us a red X with the text saying "user posted image"? Do I have it on some type of settings that needs to be adjusted? Thanks for your time in advance!

Is this occurring to all users?

And are you uploading directly or using [ img] tags?

im using [img] tags. Not all user's are having this problem.

And where are the actual disappearing images being hosted?

^I just copy and paste the URL of the pic from the net. I didnt host it myself.

Then it could be that the site you are using the images from has either deleted them or uses hotlink protection. You are better downloading the image, then re uploading them using a free image hosting service such as ImageShack

ok thanks....now im having another image problem. In a praticular thread in a forum, no images can be seen or will display. Even if you put in the [img] tag your post will not even show the picture or an invalid code or anything. Do you know whats wrong?

ok here's the screen shot of the thread that's NOT displaying any imgaes....Where I cricled in red are suppose to be images, but they appear as blank. A link to the thread is below. Thanks for all the support!

Make the forum visible to guests or make a test account please.

Yeah, I've enbaled IMG posting. That forum shows pics fine, its just that one thread.

here's the test account info:

Is the image being displayed.

I would think of this being a filehive problem.
